Jonothon Gill was a great guy to work with. Very friendly, he became a friend to all of us. He's a genuine Lakota Indian.
Filming was completely halted one day while Jonothon lead a traditional Lakota ceremony in the saloon to honor a man who had died on set the previous night (an extra suffered a massive coronary). It was very, very moving.
A couple of weeks after the completion of his role in the movie, Jonothon returned to the set just to visit. It was good to see him again.

Note the bullethole in his forehead.
